Two vibrating tuning forks have identical frequencies, but one is stationary and the other is mounted at the rim of a rotating platform. What does a listener hear? Explain.

Solution:
When the platform rotates faster, the Doppler effect becomes more pronounced, which results increasing in beating frequency. In short, a listener would hear a fluctuating sound due to the interference of the sound waves produced by the stationary and moving tuning forks.
